Janine Bisaillon-Cary is President of MITC as well as the State Director of International Trade. Ms. Bisaillon-Cary was appointed by Governor John Baldacci and officially assumed her duties as Director of International Trade for the State of Maine following a special session of the Maine State Senate on September 11, 2006. 

Prior to joining MITC, Ms. Bisaillon-Cary worked for over seventeen years in international markets, including the seafood export and consumer goods import markets. Her work has focused mostly on Western Europe and parts of Latin America and China.

Ms. Bisaillon-Cary currently services Maine’s composite and food industries advising in areas of market research, import/export logistics and international finance. Ms. Bisaillon-Cary is the former Vice President of the MITC as well as the former Vice President of Resource Trading Company, she holds a B.A. in Economics and French from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst; a Certificate of French History and Literature from the Sorbonne University, and a Global Leaders Executive Education Certificate from Dartmouth's Tuck School of Business.  She is conversant in French and Italian.
