Wade Merritt is Senior Trade Advisor and Director of Operations for the Maine International Trade Center.  In this capacity, he is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of the Center, including trade missions, technical assistance, and programming.  He has been a speaker at national conferences on a variety of topics, including NAFTA, trade with Canada, and state-federal relations in setting trade policy, and has instructed at national trainings for new state international trade staff.

A proud native of Bangor, Maine, Wade maintains ties to home through his membership on the Board of Directors of the American Folk Festival.  He also serves on the boards of the Eastern Trade Council, Maine Citizens Trade Policy Commission, the Trade Committee of the Conference of New England Governors and Eastern Canadian Premiers, and was recently nominated to the Maine District Export Council.
