Meet Your Speakers:
Mr. Hovig Kizirian received a B.Sc. in Agriculture and an M.Sc. in Agricultural Economics from the American University of Beirut. Prior to working as a Marketing Specialist for the U.S. Embassy in Beirut, Hovig was an Agricultural Economist for the Ministry of Agriculture in Lebanon and an Economist for the Ministry of Economy and Trade in Lebanon.
As of October 2005, Hovig is working as the Middle East Representative for Food Export USA-Northeast and the Food Export Association of the Midwest USA. Since 2007, Hovig is also in charge of the USA Pavilion at Gulfood Show, the largest food show in the Middle East.
Will Smith joined Food Export Association of the Midwest USA as Generic Program Coordinator in January of 2005. In this position, he coordinates over 60 federally funded market entry programs annually, designed to promote US food exports to 18 select markets around the world. Previously, Will interned with the Maine International Trade Center while completing a graduate degree in International Trade at American University, and later held a sales position with a retail frozen food firm in Maine.
In his spare time, Will enjoys kayaking, mountain biking, and volunteering at Chicago's Museum of Science and Technology.
