The New EU:  Business Opportunities
in the Expanded European Union

Maine International Trade Day is a unique forum at which leading business professionals from Maine, New England, and Canada convene each year to discuss the current challenges and opportunities in international trade. This year marks the 24th annual Trade Day and brings this premiere event for Maine's international business community back to Portland for the first time since 2001.

The program begins with a plenary session where Richard Coyle, the President of MITC will present an annual update on The State of Trade for Maine and it’s important industry sectors.  An overview of the EU Expansion and Its Implications will be given, followed by a panel discussion on Opportunities for U.S. Businesses in the New EU.

After the panel session, a late afternoon networking reception will be held. The Trade Center’s Annual Awards Dinner, with a Keynote Speaker and remarks by Governor John Baldacci will close out the event.  MITC will present awards for Exporter of the Year, Service Provider of the Year, International Innovator of the Year, and Foreign Investor of the Year.

So mark the date on your calendar now and watch for a registration brochure coming in mid-April!
