Benefits and Risks of International Credit Card and Cash Against Documents Payment Methods Explored in Seminar

PORTLAND, ME - While cash in advance is generally the preferred method of payment, there are risks for exporters even in credit card payments.  Maine exporters who want to learn more about the intricacies of cash in advance payment methods and tips on how to avoid fraudulent transactions are invited to attend "Cash in Advance and CAD Payment Essentials."  This Maine International Trade Center seminar will be held on Thursday, March 18th, from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. in Bangor.

This seminar will provide a detailed review of credit card, wire transfer, and cash against documents (CAD) processes, costs involved and transaction times, as well as valuable tips for evaluating risks and tracking payments.  Featured speakers are Arthur Rice and Diane Chiarantona from KeyBank.

The program is part of the Eaton Peabody Global Commerce Series  and will be held at the Eastern Maine Development Corporation in Bangor.  Cost to attend is $30 for MITC members and $60 for non-members.

For more information or to register, please contact Cheryl Rau at (207) 541-7455 (email: rau@mitc.com) or visit the website:  http://www.mitc.com.
