Seminar Focuses on International Sales, Payment Procedures and Limiting Trade Risk

PORTLAND, ME - The Maine International Trade Center (MITC) is offering a practical seminar for Maine business professionals interested in limiting trade risk and selecting optimum payment methods for export sales.  The seminar entitled "International Terms of Sale & Payment" will be held on Thursday, September 25th, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Topics covered in the seminar include:  methods of payment, receivables and insurance, evaluating the financial stability of overseas clients, and an introduction of Incoterms 2000.  The seminar features an expert panel:  Joe Mooney, Citizens Bank; John Lavelle, Export-Import Bank of the U.S.; and Susan Bell, Albatrans, Inc.  The workshop concludes with a question and answer session, followed by a networking reception.
