Seminar Offers Overview of
Key Legal Issues for Doing Business in Germany and Italy

 

PORTLAND, ME -   The Maine International Trade Center is pleased to offer a free educational seminar entitled "Legal Aspects of Doing Business in Germany and Italy."   This program  is designed for Maine business professionals who want to learn more about the legal aspects of trade with these two European countries and is an excellent primer for participants in the Gubernatorial Trade Mission to Germany and Italy scheduled for November 2004.  The seminar will be held on Tuesday, September 14, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. in Portland.

Attorneys from Norman, Hanson & DeTroy, LLC and Pierce Atwood will share their expertise at this free seminar to provide an overview of legal entities and issues in Germany and Italy.  Topics include distribution considerations, unfair competition law, e-business considerations, and protecting  intellectual property.  The program speakers are Gloria A. Pinza, Esq., Partner, Pierce Atwood and Adrian P. Kendall, Esq., Partner, Norman, Hanson & DeTroy, LLC and Maine Representative of the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany.

The program is part of the Citizens Bank Foundation International Trade Series and will be held at the MITC office at 511 Congress Street, in Portland.  There is no cost to attend; however, space is limited, so advance registration is encouraged.
