Jean Charest in New York City: NAFTA must be strengthened
That was the message the Premier of Québec delivered during his speech to The American Assembly on February 3.  Mr. Charest wound up his mission in
New York State by meeting with U.N. Deputy Secretary-General, Louise Fréchette.

 

  • ·         Promoting Québec in Belgium
    Minister Michel Audet was in
    Belgium from January 24 to 25, 2005, to promote Québec’s economy. He chaired a roundtable on the aerospace and defence industries and gave an address at a breakfast conference organized by Québec Government Office in Brussels and the Canada-Belgium-Luxemburg Chamber of Commerce.

    Québec Minister of Economic and Regional Development, Michel Audet, attended the Davos World Economic Forum in
    Switzerland from January 25 to 29, 2005. The Forum brought together heads of state, cabinet ministers, and senior business executives from around the world.
     
  • ·         The Cirque du Soleil once again reinvents the theatrical performing arts
    On
    February 3, 2005, the Cirque du Soleil officially launched its brand new theatrical show, KÀ, which was designed created and produced by Robert Lepage.

Québec Security Minister attends a regional homeland security meeting in Boston
Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney was also a participant to this meeting as a keynote speaker. Minister Chagnon took this opportunity to visit the Boston Coast Guard Command Center.
 
First Forum on Research in Québec held in Boston
More than 70 young researchers, most of whom are Quebecers and Canadians pursuing graduate studies in New England, attended this presentation about research opportunities in Québec's life science sector.
 
Québec dance company Cas Public performs at Keene State College
Courage mon amour was played out at the Redfern Arts Center on Brickyard Pound, as part of the New Hampshire / Québec cultural cooperation program. Keene Mayor Michael Blastos was among the attendees.
 
"Québec is Cooking!" at the 14th Annual Boston Wine Expo
Visitors had the chance to sample Québec's ice wine, cheese, pâtés and bread, and to taste special dishes prepared by Montréal's acclaimed chef Laurent Godbout.
