27th Annual Maine International Trade Day

On May 31, 2007 the Maine International Trade Center will host the 27th Annual Maine International Trade Day at the Samoset Resort, Rockport, Maine. Maine International Trade Day is the state’s premier international business event at which over 250 leading professionals from Maine, New England and Canada convene each year to discuss the current challenges and opportunities in international trade.
This year’s program – Innovations 2007: International Partnerships and Technology Solutions for Maine - commences with morning one-on-one matchmaking meetings available for Maine businesses with Foreign Trade Offices and Consulates. The afternoon begins with a plenary session where Janine Bisaillon-Cary, President of the Maine International Trade Center, presents an update on The State of Trade and Investment for Maine followed by a plenary presentation Technology for a 24-7 Marketplace. Two panel discussions reviewing International Innovation for Natural Resource and Traditional Industries and International Innovation for Emerging Industries will follow.
The popular evening Business Networking Reception includes cocktails, live music, and informal networking reception for the attendees. The event concludes with the International Trade Awards Dinner, featuring Governor John Baldacci, award winners, and a keynote address. MITC will present the Annual Awards for Exporter of the Year, Service Provider of the Year, International Innovator of the Year, Foreign Investor of the Year, and the President’s Award.
