Composite materials resources and news
Global markets for advanced composite products remain strong, but competition is increasing as governments work to bolster their industries. The UK is investing £22 million to advance the development of its composite materials industry.
The investment is made up of:
- £16m for a new National Composites Centre in the Bristol area
- £5m for the winning firms of the country’s Technology Strategy Board’s competition to develop new composites manufacturing techniques, and £1m upfront funding to help develop challenge bids
