Opportunities for Maine
Chile and Brazil are two of the cornerstones of the South American economy, offering opportunities in multiple industries including energy, environmental technologies, education, and processing and packaging equipment.
Since the enactment of the U.S.-Chile Free Trade Agreement in 2003, American exports have expanded by 300% and Chilean companies have expressed a clear preference for American products and technologies.
Brazil is now the world's eighth largest economy, with a GDP of $2 trillion and a broad industrial base that includes one of the world’s largest aircraft manufacturers and a significant oil and gas development project.
- Customized One-on-One Appointments: Individual appointments will be scheduled in both markets based on your business goals.
- Group Tours and Events: Visit private companies and research institutions and meet with Chilean and Brazilian leaders to gain first-hand knowledge of the market environment.
- In-Country Research: Research will be conducted by industry specialists in each market − and you’ll have the opportunity to meet via video conference to discuss your company’s objectives before leaving Maine.
- Market Briefings: Take the opportunity to learn more about current economic and political conditions in Chile and Brazil.
- State of Maine Reception & Networking Events: Business leaders, dignitaries, and potential partners will be invited to these functions. These events provide an excellent forum to strengthen existing relationships with clients, as well as establish new connections.
