Maine International Trade Center Trade Missions and Shows
Trade Missions and Shows
"Maine companies report up to $9 million of export sales each year as a result of participation in MITC's international trade missions and trade shows."
Janine Bisaillon-Cary, President, Maine International Trade Center, Portland, ME

Maine International Trade Center coordinates trade missions and organizes participation in international industry trade shows to promote Maine's goods and services to markets around the globe.

Trade missions

Each year MITC organizes a large State of Maine Trade Mission, usually with the Governor, as well as smaller (often industry-specific) missions. Trade missions are particularly useful for first time exporters or companies that have had difficulty expanding into a particular country or market. Trade Missions provide one-on-one meetings with potential foreign trade partners and unique networking opportunities. MITC arranges most details including transportation, translators and business meetings. We have led trade missions to Europe, Latin America, and Asia.

Trade shows

In addition to the trade missions, MITC coordinates participation at several industry-specific international trade shows. These shows provide an excellent opportunity to meet potential customers and gain valuable market insight.

We also host international conferences and incoming delegations from overseas. MITC members enjoy opportunities to network with foreign buyers, commercial representatives and visiting dignitaries.

Become a sponsor
We invite you to consider becoming a sponsor of a trade mission or show. Sponsorship provides a unique way to connect with the international business community and promote your business and services. With connections to over 5,000 internationally-active Maine companies and individuals, MITC is known for the quality and professionalism of our events.
