France Trade Mission

Oct. 22-29, 2005
The 2005 Gubernatorial Trade Mission to France served to strengthen economic and cultural bonds with a significant European trading partner. The mission had 34 participants from 18 industry sectors, and received scholarship assistance from both the Forum Francophone des Affaires and the Maine Manufacturing Extension Partnership.

Sixty-two matchmaking meetings were scheduled for the delegation, across a wide range of sectors ranging from energy and education to food and metal products. Counterparts in France coordinated matches even in some non-traditional areas such as those from the Creative Economy sectors.

Sales estimates from participating companies exceeded $5 million as a result of this Mission.
