Italy and Germany Trade Mission

Nov. 13-20, 2004
The purpose of the 2004 Gubernatorial Trade Mission was to expose Maine businesses to the booming Italian and German markets, and to expose Italian and German businesses to the business and tourism opportunities available in Maine. Gold Key Matchmaking services were provided to 12 companies, with over 55 individual meetings scheduled.

The State of Maine Receptions in Düsseldorf and Milan had extraordinary business attendance. In each Reception there were 130 guests, and seventy percent of the attendees were German and Italian Businesses interested in Maine industries. This attendance is unprecedented and it provided great exposure and promotion to the State of Maine and Maine businesses.

Participating businesses estimated over $1.2 million in sales as a result of the Mission.
