CE Mark Webinar
April 15, 2015 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
The CE Marking stands for Conformite Europeenne and certifies that a product has met EU health safety and environmental requirements, thus ensuring consumer safety. Manufacturers in both the EU and abroad must meet CE marking requirements where applicable in order to even market their products in Europe. Since there is no comprehensive list of the products that require a CE marking, it is the manufacturer’s duty and responsibility to determine if their product(s) require it. This can be a tricky path to navigate for businesses since these requirements must be met and in order to market and sell their products in the EU. However, successful application of the CE marking opens up a wealth of opportunity in this diverse market.
This webinar will cover the basics of the CE marking as well as help in determining if/when your product will need a CE marking. A question and answer session will follow this presentation.
We are thrilled to have Louis Fredericks, who represents the US Commercial Service at the United States Mission to the European Union in Brussels, as our presenter for this webinar. He is a member of the Standards Team and also monitors EU legislative initiatives that impact existing and potential US exporters. Louis counsels US companies on the complex EU product certification requirements including CE marking and also covers the automotive sector. We are fortunate to have him with us so do not miss this chance to learn from him!
