Maine Trade Mission to Canada

October 26 - October 29

Toronto, Ontario

Join Maine International Trade Center and U.S. Commercial Service to expand your markets in Canada.

Trade between the United States and Canada is among the closest and most integrated between nations in the world. Canada is the United States’ largest customer and buys more goods from the United States than China, Japan, and the United Kingdom combined.

Canada has long been Maine’s leading export destination, representing more than half of all exports, over $1.2 billion in 2020.

The Toronto Region is the commercial, distribution, financial, and economic center of Canada. Home to over 6.4 million people, a labor force of more than 4.7 million, with over 800,000 businesses, the region generates 18.5% of Canada’s GDP and is the national headquarters for 38% of Canada’s businesses.

Key industry sectors in Toronto include: advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence, financial services, clean energy and environmental technology, biomed/pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, biotech, and information technology.
