  • Roundtable lunch with Maine Woodland Owners and Maine Forest Products Council
  • Tour of Chandler white pine woodlots, New Gloucester

Wednesday, June 3

Port & Climate

  • Maine Port Authority tour and Eimskip presentation, Portland
  • Helicopter overflights of Western Mountains forests and SAPPI mill
  • Forum on climate-adaptive forest management and carbon sequestration
  • Presentations by Tanbark and Whole Trees on wood innovation
  • New England Forestry Foundation presentation

Day 4

Thursday, June 4

Ecology & Mass Timber

  • Tour of Holt Forest with Maine TREE Foundation
  • Lunch at Cook’s Lobster, Bailey Island
  • CLT site visit: Bowdoin Arctic Museum, Brunswick
  • CLT site visit: University of Southern Maine campus, Portland

Maine Wood Innovation Conference

  • Full-day conference at Smith Center, Wolfe’s Neck Center for Agriculture and the Environment, Freeport
  • Presentations on building applications of wood-based materials and technology
  • International case studies: zero-energy homes, timber construction, supply chain
  • Panel: Maine Wood Construction & Supply Chain
  • Optional tour of Wolfe’s Neck Center and grounds
  • Closing dinner, Portland
