Senior Trade Specialist and Director of Development for MITC
Zeynep Turk is a Senior Trade Specialist. A native of Istanbul, Turkey, Zeynep has lived in Maine for over 15 years.
She earned a BS in Business Administration from the University of Maine at Machias and an MBA from the University of Maine, Orono.
She has traveled extensively in Europe and Asia.After completing her MBA, Zeynep worked in the banking industry for a number of years. Prior to working at MITC, she worked for the United Way of Greater Portland as a fundraiser, focusing on service and professional industries.
At MITC she serves the wood products, pulp and paper, and service industries and her regional focus area is the Middle East. She recently organized a Business Matchmaking Mission to Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
She has helped Maine companies participate in trade shows in Germany, China, the U.K. , and UAE. Her responsibilities at MITC also include sponsorship relations and she is fluent in Turkish.
Zeynep serves on the Board of Directors of the Animal Refuge League of Portland. Formerly she served on the Board of Directors for the Portland English as a Second Language Scholarship Fund.
