Munsey joins MITC in new membership and development position

Portland, ME – Maine International Trade Center (MITC) has hired Julia Munsey to fill the new staff position of Director, Membership and Corporate Development.

“I’m delighted to welcome Julia to our staff,” MITC President Wade Merritt said. “She brings a wealth of professional experience, state-wide business connections, and enthusiasm. MITC and all of the companies that we work with are very fortunate to have her on the team.”

Previously, Julia was a Partner in Dougherty Project Management, a Bangor-based project management company specializing in Technology, Business Process and Marketing Communication projects. She was the project manager for the Maine Troop Greeters Museum located at Bangor International Airport which opened last week. Prior to joining Dougherty Project Management, Julia was the Director of Marketing and Communication for Oxford Networks.

“I’m excited to work for an organization that helps Maine businesses succeed around the world and makes a valuable contribution to our state’s economy,” Munsey explained. “While I was familiar with MITC as a former member and sponsor, I am impressed by the full range of what a small staff accomplishes with student and investment attraction initiatives in addition to assisting exporters and importers.”
