UMaine to Lead Four-Year Forest Ecosystem Study

The University of Maine, working with the University of New Hampshire and the University of Vermont, will conduct a four-year study to monitor forest growth and conditions using digital sensor technology.  The  project will generate near real-time data for use by the forest products industry and in forestland sustainability efforts.  The National Science Foundation has set aside $6 million for the project which will be disbursed as a series of milestones are completed.  Read More
