HTS/Schedule B Classification Training

November 12 @ 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

LIVE WEBINAR

  • Are you relying on product descriptions from suppliers or online searches to classify your products, and wondering if you’re using the correct HTS or Schedule B code?
  • Have you ever thought that one product only needs one classification code worldwide, only to discover that import and export requirements differ by country or transaction type?
  • Are you concerned that an incorrect HTS or Schedule B classification could be costing your business money through overpaid duties, shipment delays, audits, or fines?
To be a competitive exporter, due diligence in determining product classifications is essential. This live webinar offers guidance on the classification process, how frequently you should revisit your classifications, and how to remain compliant.

Webinar attendees will learn how to use the Harmonized Tariff System for imports and the Schedule B listing for exports. Using instructor & CBP based sample classifications throughout the training, participants will better understand why and how products are classified for international import or export. After the training, attendees will know where to go for help and what to look at when beginning to look at your own products.

The session will also review the roles of a customs broker, freight forwarder, and importer/exporter of record, providing participants with a better understanding of their resources and responsibilities.

Who Should Attend?

Traffic managers, purchasing managers, shipping/receiving personnel, compliance officers, sales managers, customer service managers, and anyone involved or concerned with international shipments.
